Greyhounds, Chihuahuas, and Pitbulls, Oh My!
The minute Ali said 10 dogs, I was so excited to shoot this session, and then we she said their newest little rescue dog made 11, I was over the moon! I love getting the chance to work with so many dogs, from teeny tiny (Joy), to fluffy (Moxxi), to nearly furless (Chip is a Chinese Crested), to long and lean (Kisses the gorgeous Greyhound), permanent smilers (Sadie), great posers (Ripley), food hounds (Gwen & Poppy), fancy pants (Rusty in his bow tie), fabulous mixed breeds (Summer), and sweet senior (Lucy).
Location is Everything
Because we were photographing so many dogs, we wanted a location near Ali’s home in Madison so that her husband could help us shuttle dogs back and forth so they didn’t have to wait in the heat. (Models need to be fresh for their close up, lol).
Luckily, Empire Mills allowed us to shoot at their beautiful location! Empire Mills is usually a wedding and event venue, but they were nice enough to open it up to the dogs for the evening!
Plus, it is right at the end of Ali’s road, so location couldn’t have been better.
Making Art
Custom wall art is often the perfect choice for showing off your images. I can’t wait to deliver a gorgeous canvas.
After you’ve selected your wall art from your session the finishing touch is deciding how to display your other favorite images. Many clients find an album a perfect choice for showing off their images in a classic way.
