The Thomas Farm Preserve, is located just inside the city limits of Watkinsville. The preserve secures the largest undeveloped parcel within the city—the historic 100-acre Thomas family farm which includes more than 1/3 of a mile of frontage along Calls Creek, over 60 acres of open pasture, 33 acres of woodlands, and two ponds, In the Thomas Farm Preserve we find open spaces, tall grasses, gentle hills, ancient oak trees, gravel pathways, dirt road tracks, fallen logs, pond views, and even a small bridge.
