Trish & Hazel

"I am thrilled with the outcome! This will get a very special place in my home."

Krista & Scarlett

"I had such a great experience with Courtney! She ensured not only that the pups were prepared but that I was also. I had a detailed checklist of what to do to prepare before the shoot. From how far in advance to get the groomed/bathed to Coloring/cutting my hair in advance (if needed), what color and texture of clothing to wear for the best results, recommended collars for the pups. I think she had everything covered. Courtney was very patient with all of us :). If you are looking for photos with your furry family, I would absolutely recommend her!"

Liz, Kaos, & Kali

"We were lucky enough to attend the Love Barks event at Pet Pleasers Bakery in Gainesville, and Courtney captured some amazing photos of my dogs. It can be challenging to get them to sit still, but Courtney is a pro! Everything was set up perfectly to maximize our time there, and she is so fast with that camera. She was even able to Photoshop my hand + the leash out of several of the photos. It was a great experience, and we look forward to doing another session with Courtney soon!"

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do we take the pictures?

We’ll photograph your horse at the barn. An ideal situation has a barn aisle where we can close one side while standing in the open doorway on the other side, but even if your barn isn’t ideal, we can create beautiful equine images. I’ve used run in shelters, sides of painted barns, and even sometimes just outdoors in even shade.

How do I prepare my horse?

I’ve created a blog post telling you exactly how to prepare your horse for your equine session!

Should my horse wear a halter?

Halters, bridles, & naked faces all look gorgeous in black or white background equine portraits. This is a personal choice – and we can even do two options to choose from! Whatever equipment you choose it should be clean and neutral colored.

Should I bring someone to help?

Yes! If you’re doing a solo session, please enlist a friend to help get your horses attention. Even better, get your friends to book sessions too, save money on your sessions, and have helpers built in! Everyone wins!

What should I bring to my horse's session?
  • Towel to wipe their muzzle
  • Neutral colored tack, halter, and leap rope.
  • Hoof polish: clear or black
  • Favorite treats
  • Crinkly treat bag and feed bucket
  • Things that normally get your horse’s attention
