What Happens at a
dog Photography Session
Not sure what a dog photography session actually looks like?
Well first, there are a lot of treats, and silly noises, and snuggling, and ear scratches. And most dogs remain on leash 100% of the time!
Did I mention your dog gets to be a dog? No obedience required! I’ll work with your dog at their pace to deliver beautiful images to fill your final album.
Your session is relaxed and low stress for everyone, but don’t take my word for it! Take a look at the video below. You’ll see behind the scenes snippets from Megan & Jamie’s session as well as the finished portraits.

Photography for Pet People
I’m Courtney – dog mom, professional pet photographer, animal rescuer, marketer, & official crazy dog lady of the family. You’ll recognize me when we meet because even though I promise I’m wearing clean clothes – there’s going to be dog hair on them.
I’m not the dog photographer for people who love their dogs like family. I’m the dog photographer for people whose dogs ARE family.
If you :
- Have been known to cancel date nights when your dogs needs you to stay home and snuggle
- Filter Airbnb for pet friendly listings before even considering a place
- Consider the color of your dog’s fur before deciding on a new couch color
This is dog photography designed for you.

Why do awards matter?
I have always been a passionate learner, a reader of all things, and someone driven to improve. Seeking out the critique of other professional pet photographers by entering images into professional competitions pushes me to be a more creative artist and truly master my craft. Learning more about the technical side of photography through classes and courses inspires me to create more technically sound images
What all this means for you as the pet parent, is that during your pet photography session I will be creating professional quality images – Images of your furry loved ones that you’ll be proud to hang on the wall. It means that I’ll be able to focus on you and your pet because I have already mastered my camera and settings and the rules of composition and framing.
